For more information visit the Canadian Parents for French website.
Canadian Parents for French is a parent-led, Canada-wide volunteer organization that works to advocate and promote French language and culture in our communities. Locally, our committee is a small group that meets once every month or every other month to talk about what we can do to help bring real world French experiences to our students. We would love to have you join us! Although it may be a bit quiet this year for activities, here are a couple things that may be of interest to you...
This is a great year to try out a membership with us as it is FREE for anyone who registers before the end of March 2021!!! If you are already a member, thank you! And know that your membership has been extended by a year!! It is especially important this year to become a member as our Chapter offices are busy advocating to make French education more accessible and keeping policy makers accountable, so having a large number of members gives weight to our comments about the importance of French education to parents across Canada. You can sign up for your membership at www.bc-yk.cpf.ca
If you have, or will have, a child attending a post secondary institution, who will be continuing with their French education, be sure to have them apply for one of the 850 bursaries available each year until 2023! In BC, bursaries are currently being given out to SFU and UBC students only. For a complete list or for more info, please go to acufc.ca/fslbursaries
If you have any questions, would like to attend one of our meetings, or would like to check your membership status, please email us at www.cpfkamloops@gmail.com
